HR as a CIP Driver: How Leaders Truly Embrace Daily Improvement
Subtitle: From Training Program to Effective Leadership Routine in SME Daily Life
Short Description:
Many CIP and Lean initiatives start with great energy – and then get lost in daily business. The bottleneck is rarely the method, but rather leadership behavior. In this 30-minute impulse session, we show how HR becomes the driving force behind a vibrant Continuous Improvement Process. Using practical examples from Swiss SMEs, we illustrate which leadership roles are truly necessary in CIP, how HR builds a suitable learning architecture, and how shopfloor and office environments can be developed with simple routines (boards, daily stand-ups, improvement check-ins). The focus is on pragmatic, quickly implementable approaches rather than large programs – ideal for companies that want to strengthen performance and employee participation simultaneously.
Learning Outcomes:
• Participants will learn 3 concrete HR levers to effectively embed leaders in CIP (role definition, qualification, daily support).
• Participants will be able to outline a simple leadership routine for daily improvement (e.g., a 15-minute format) for their own company.
• Participants will understand how to combine training, coaching, and shopfloor/team meetings into an effective overall learning system.
