Learning Culture as a Success Factor – Measure, Understand, Implement
In successful organizations, learning is more than just a buzzword – it is an integral part of daily operations. However, it often remains unclear how deeply learning is actually embedded in routines, relationships, and structures. A thorough learning culture analysis, using a scientific questionnaire developed by the IAP Institute for Applied Psychology, reveals if and how learning is practiced within organizations. The questionnaire covers key dimensions such as knowledge exchange, continuous learning, and leadership behavior. The evaluation identifies strengths and gaps, thereby providing a reliable basis for strategic decisions.
To implement the learning culture analysis within organizations, the results are prioritized, translated into concrete measures, and linked with clear responsibilities. This creates a realistic roadmap that embeds learning into structures and processes.
In this presentation, we will demonstrate how this roadmap can lead to a scalable learning system for daily work. Building on the learning culture analysis, critical roles and tasks are defined, necessary skills are specified, and employees are segmented according to their learning behavior and motivation. This results in target group-specific interventions: micro-learning in the workflow, role-based learning paths instead of general course lists, peer learning and mentoring for those with higher orientation needs, and lean, data-protection-compliant analytics that make progress and business impact visible. Thus, learning culture transforms from a buzzword into a competitive advantage.
