Doris Leuthard

Doris Leuthard, born in 1963 in Merenschwand, Switzerland, has been Vice-Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Coop Group since 2021. She is a long-serving Swiss politician who was President of the CVP party from 2004 to 2006 and a member of the Swiss Federal Council from 2006 to 2018. In 2010 and 2017, she served as President of the Swiss Confederation. She studied law at the University of Zurich and worked as a lawyer until 2006. After her political career, she transitioned to the business sector, where she has served on the Board of Directors of Coop and Bell Food Group since 2019. She also holds other board mandates at Coop Pronto, Transgourmet Holding, and Stadler Rail. She is a member of the Foundation Board of the ETH Zurich Foundation, where she is particularly committed to promoting digitalization and climate research. She is married and lives in the Canton of Aargau.
