Dr. med Sven Staender

Sven Staender is a specialist in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine. With the launch of the Critical Incident Reporting System (CIRS) 30 years ago and his involvement in the Human Factor Group at University Hospital Basel, Sven Staender possesses many years of practical experience in building a safety culture. This is complemented by his co-development of the HADmedical concept for the former Swissair, over 20 years of teaching experience, a habilitation on the topic of patient safety, and more than ten years of collaboration with Lufthansa Aviation Training as part of his patient safety lecture at the University of Zurich. Today, Sven Staender also works as a Human Factors Instructor for Lufthansa Aviation Switzerland.
