People at the Center – Safety in the Cockpit and Operating Room

Insights from aviation and medicine show: people make the crucial difference. Safety depends not only on professional competence but, above all, on clear communication, conscious action, and teamwork. A constructive approach to errors promotes learning instead of blame. At the same time: safety is non-negotiable, not free, and never 100% guaranteed. The central element for safe processes is training – regular, practical, and team-oriented.
In this panel, two personalities from the cockpit and operating room will meet, bringing extensive practical experience as well as many years of leadership experience. Together, they will discuss what truly constitutes safety and how teamwork can be made safer. Through dialogue, both parallels and differences between aviation and medicine will become apparent. The exchange offers valuable insights that extend beyond these two worlds, inviting participants to consider where these topics and principles can be found in their own work environment – and thus in their own company.

The panel will be moderated by Tobias Müller.
