Scaling the Startup Mindset: How Ownership Boosts Team Performance

Companies desire the energy, creativity, and speed associated with startups. Many therefore try to adopt elements of a startup culture to remain competitive and attract talent. At the same time, many continue to rely on structures that unintentionally limit autonomy and development opportunities.

At quitt Business, we have succeeded in maintaining the "startup vibe" even as the company has grown. Learners and employees have demonstrably developed faster when they participated in meaningful projects instead of administrative side tasks. We consistently observe: when people, especially young talents, are given responsibility instead of instructions, they learn faster, show more initiative, and feel more accountable for results.

In this session, based on our experiences, we will show how companies can retain the energy of a startup, how learners and employees can meaningfully take on responsibility, and how to build teams that develop, think creatively, and truly identify with their work.
